Cleo Hagston

Cleo Hagston, 79, of Du Quoin, passed away at 2:02 P.M., Thursday, May 13, 2004 at the Marshall Browning Hospital in Du Quoin.
Cleo was a homemaker.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Du Quoin.  She was a Rosey Riveter which had built airplanes during W.W. II at Evansville, IN.  She had also worked at Schobert's TV and Duncan and Fry Furniture Store.
She was born on December 4, 1924 at Burnt Prairie, IL, the daughter of Edward Wesley and Gladys (Musgrave) Funkhouser.
She married Gene Hagston on December 28, 1946 at Crown Point, IN and he preceded her in death on February 25, 1974.
She is survived by one son - Randy Hagston and Debbie Loucks of Du Quoin, one daughter - Peggy Bell and husband Steve of Collierville, TN, three sisters - Jane Ginn of Du Quoin, Cuma O'Keefe of Du Quoin and Ellen Cicardi of Pinckneyville, one brother - Spencer Funkhouser of Anna, four grandsons - Bart Hagston and wife Tracy, Matt Hagston and wife Jennie, Kyle Bell and Derek Bell, and five great grandchildren - Austin, Jake and Holly Hagston and Morgan and Blake Hartung.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers - Clarence Funkhouser and Wayne L. Funkhouser.
Funeral services were at 2:00 P.M., Sunday, May 16, 2004 at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin with Dr. John Lewis officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Saturday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin.
Interment was in the Sunset Memorial Park at Du Quoin.
